Welcoming Rhode Island Conference a Success!

Thank you to the 200+ participants in the October 1st Welcoming Rhode Island Conference!

Participants included immigrants and refugees, policymakers, social service providers, youth, faith leaders, students, elected officials, government employees, organizers, researchers, business representatives, and members of the general public.

Attendees strategized together on how to make Rhode Island a more welcoming state for RI’s foreign born population throughout various sectors of society such as health, education, economic development and civic engagement among others.

Many thanks to the 30 local restaurants and bakeries who donated food for breakfast and lunch!

Many more thanks to the volunteers, interns, staff, speakers and performers who made the conference possible!
