How do you self-identify?

Mun2,  a bilingual channel, interviewed several Afro-Latinos from different backgrounds in the public eyes; a CNN reporter, musicians and actors. Many agreed on one thing: friends and others misjudged them on their skin color.

“I came home to my parents one day and I was, ‘like mom well what am I, the kids are asking me what I am,’” said actress Christina Milian in the video. “I remember this was I was literally 5 or 6 years old. They said well, ‘Christine you’re Cuban and you’re brown.’”
